Mux now brings live streaming to the leading OTT platform in Latin America. SmartboxTV’s Nunchee has added Mux Live Streaming into their platform giving users the ability to live stream to their audiences worldwide.

Nunchee is an all-in-one platform enabling anyone from content creators to broadcasters to essentially create their own streaming app and website without coding or programming. With their automated native platform, videos services can be launched within 24 hours.

Nunchee was looking for a live streaming solution so their customers could provide live coverage for any type of event, like sports, festivals, seminars, etc. to engage their users in real time. Plus, they needed the solution to be able to deliver it across web, iOS, and Android.

Mux makes it incredibly easy for anyone to build live streaming into their application. You can stream live from any source with RTMP and receive it in HLS. This allows Nunchee’s customer’s users to stream from any mobile app, broadcast software, or hardware encoder and broadcast to any device. Plus by using the Mux Video API, Nunchee benefits from getting the most advanced encoding services for every stream and can be assured that audiences everywhere are getting the best viewing experience.

“We’re thrilled about teaming up with Mux. We chose Mux because all of their services are API based, making it simple for our developing team. Mux Live Stream also delivers flexibility to our clients; its business model (pay as you go) is the perfect fit for their on-demand services. Hands down, the best live streaming provider, customer service, and support!” says Rafael López, CEO at Nunchee.

LinkHow to use it

Within the Nunchee console, add the Mux add-on whenever it’s needed. Nunchee will then provide a streaming URL and Key to copy and paste into an OBS Studio, camera with live streaming, or any software delivering RTMP live streaming. The URL and Key are used to connect the streaming software with Nunchee.

Once connected, the live stream is automatically placed in the Media Library where you can upload it as content. And voila, you’ve only taken seconds to add live streaming into your video service!
