DRM

Digital Rights Management (DRM) is the process of protecting content such that it can only be played with certain restrictions. These restrictions might include a period of time in which the content can be played or set limitations on the hardware security features availiable on the device which is playing the content. The most common DRM technologies are Apple's Fairplay, Google's Widevine, and Microsoft's Playready.
