VVC (Versatile Video Coding)

Versatile Video Encoding (VVC) is a video codec defined by ITU-T and the Motion Picture Experts Group to succeed H.265/High Efficiency Video Coding. The working groups involved released the final standard in July 2020. Support is still preliminary on desktops and on mobile devices.
